George Grosz - "The Workman's Holiday" (1919)

Grosz (1893- 1959) is a highly political, anti-Nazi German-born artist.

I love that his work is so... him.
I felt like I knew exactly how he saw the world with this one drawing.
I felt the truth in this one.

This drawing is on view until Sunday, January 15th, 2012
at the New York Public Library as a part of the "A Century of Art" exhibit.
