I fell in love with Lady Pink at El Museo del Barrio. They were having an exhibition called "The S Files" on New York City street art, so my sister & I went to check out. Lady Pink is recognized as the first female to have done it (came on the scene in the 70's) &.. that's big since the graffiti world seems to be (like many other worlds) dominated by men. In the video below, she talks about how intimidating it was --not due to the art, but from being 5'2 and 90lbs meeting people in dark alleys so she could do her work. But she did it.
She deserves a huge S/O.
